Madrasaty is a comprehensive Student Information System developed to enhance school administration and student management. Madrasaty ™ provides an interactive environment, for students, parents, and teachers, to interact with each other. They interact in a full defined cycle, to achieve the goal of enabling all parties involved in the educational process to interact with the school environment.

Madrasaty ™ is an affordable school administration software for public and private schools, grades K thru 12.  Madrasaty ™ allows school administrators to handle all aspects of student management with much more ease, such as tracking student attendance, grades, fees, etc.

Madrasaty ™ makes it easier for school staff to update, share and distribute student information. Individual students become easier to monitor, thus making it easier to stay on top of student's grades, attendance, and discipline. With Madrasaty, complete students and class history is available at the convenience of your home computer or pocket PC.

Modules Descriptions

Administrative Tool

The Administrative Tools module allows a school’s principal to manage the Information Management System by setting up User Accounts, and by filling out the School Academic Information, Teacher Information, and Student Information. It also allows the principal, or any other administrator, to create a School Event Calendar and to publish a Schedule of School Activities.

Below is a detailed description of these functions:

User Account Management

  • Complete web-based Administration functions for the School administrator

  • Ability to add a marquee on main page for general alerts for students & parents to see

  • Ability to send passwords to teachers who forgot their passwords

  • Ability to add, deletes, and modifies all students’ information

  • Ability to add, deletes, and modifies all teacher's and parent's information

  • Ability to define new administrators for the system.

  • Ability to define new Parent for the system

  • Automatically performs data maintenance & Backup

School Setting

  • Setup school year information

  • Setup school dates, when the academic year will begin, end

  • Setup the start, end time of working days and the weekly working days

  • Setup school general information

  • Setup school fees

  • Setup school bus schedule

  • Setup information about the school calendar

  • Setup lecture times, distribution of time for schools

  • Setup Teachers availability Tables (teachers Time Table)

  • Setup classes, subjects for a certain school

Teacher Information

  • Enter the required information of the staff for the school

  • Add new teachers or modify their data.

  • Change status of teachers

  • Assign tasks (events) to teachers remotely

  • Communicate with teachers at any time

Student Information

It’s an application that can be used daily at the school/college by teachers, secretaries and administrators to manage student information.

The Student Information System provides total control of all student records and data, it allows complete visibility to all details concerning a student throughout their school life such as:-

  • Complete contact information

  • Complete parents information

  • Medical history and medical exams

  • Emergency contact numbers

  • A complete grade book with report grade generation

  • Grading methods

  • Progress Reports

  • Report card generation

  • Enrollments

  • A record of disciplinary action/incidents.

  • Attendance

  • Parents access to their children’s details through the system to view

    • Student progress overall and rank in class
    • Student homework and assignments

  • School Administrators have complete control over their school and are able to access student data readily

Scheduling

Administrators are able to build and manage schedules easily and conveniently for schedules for:

  • Students

  • Teachers

  • School

  • Transportation

  • Certain events, services or activities for the school or a class or a teacher's subject

Calendar

Administrators are able to manage school calendar, and/or teachers and students calendars, by:

  • Feeding the system with initial data to start the calendar, and

  • Setup events on  the school level

  • Push events to certain parties

  • Deny or approve new events

Notice that the management of the calendar can be done on different levels (admin, teacher, parent and/or student) all according to their access rights

Classroom Management Tool

Madrasaty attempts to reduce the need for any manually entered data. Taking student attendance and scheduling assignments are among the things that can be done and tracked automatically.

Other automatic functionalities are:

  • Class Management: helps manage student and teacher information
     

  • Subject Management: manages subjects and materials for each course
     

  • Time table Management: manages timetables for classes as a whole, or students as individuals, for the entire school year
     

  • Calendar Management: manages calendar events for each class, or for each student
     

  • Student Management: manages certain details regarding students in the class

Grade Book

This module handles Grade Book details. It helps manage student grades in their subjects and activities

  • Subject Management: manages the different subject sections and determines grade distribution within the subject
     

  • Grade Sheet Setup: edits grade sheet for each student
     

  • Report Cards Management: generates student report cards upon request

           Home work and Activities

This module manages homework and activities for classes and students.

  • Homework setup: helps create homework assignments, and manages the assignment by creating grade sheets per assignment, per student. Reviews assignment due dates and assignment status for each student (completed or not). Creates Homework Calendar
     

  • Activities Setup: plans activities for classes and students. Manages status of activities and creates Activity Calendar
     

  • Homework and Activities Management per Subject: after grade sheets have been filled out for all students in a subject, a final score for each student is calculated

Attendance

 The attendance module handles and tracks student attendance and can be managed by teachers and/or administrators.

Finance Management Tool

This module handles all financial transactions in a school system, namely:

  • Student Fees: calculates yearly fees, discounts, and prior year balances

  • Bus Fees: calculates bus fees for students and staff

  • Other Services Fees (dynamic): allows addition of any other services with fees

  • General Statement Report Generation: generates an on-demand report describing general school balance                                                

  • Bill Generator: generates a print out bill

  • Payment Receipt Generator: generates print out receipts

  • Student and School Balance Generator: generates all other school and student balances

Security

Four types of users that can access the module; each user will have his/her own set of pages and tools to handle, as follows:

  • Student: can view their class members, view their marks, absence reports, home works and activities, schedule, teachers schedule, Notice that the student have read-only privileges in the system, except for a small portion of the system (home works hand over).

  • Parent: also the parent has tools that he can read only data related to his children (who are students)

  • Teacher: can view info, and can edit info related o students and classes (modules are: grade book, Home Works and Activities, Absence and Attendance) 

  • Principal: he is the admin of the system, he can set or change data related to the system, and by so, has full access in every module of the system

Now the system detects after log in the logged in user type and by so, builds him his/her menu and opens functionalities according to that.

   

System Requirements

Madrasaty run in a variety of operating environments and network configurations.

Software

Server:

Operating System: Windows 2000 Server, Internet Information Services (IIS) 5 or above.

Client:

The Madrasaty Software is a 32 bit Windows® program requiring Windows® XP, 2000, Millennium or 98 as the operating system. It runs on anything from a single PC with Windows® 98. Explorer 6.0 or above.

Hardware

Server:

PC Pentium 4 or compatible, 512 k RAM, 40 GB Hard Drive

Client:

PC Pentium 2 or compatible, 64 k RAM, 10 GB Hard Drive

Network:

LAN, WAN, and VPN’s.
